Thank you all for your entries.
The scheduling for the Saturday have been finalized. I have included a link below to the times. Please note that when you check your matches they are not always listed in the order that they are to be played.
Due to the large number of entries we have decided to start each day on at 7.30am. Thank you all for your understanding with this.
The number of entries has also led to the need to push the scheduling for the presentation back (depending on matches we are hoping this will be on at 4-5pm on the Monday). It is expected that prize winners will wait until presentation to collect their prizes. In the event that you must leave early please arrange someone to pick up you prize on your behalf.
The format for the tournament depends on the event you are playing.
In the round robin events the sets are played as first to 9 games. In the event of 8 games all, a tiebreak (first to 7 with a 2 point lead) is played to decide the set. Deuce games are played as standard tennis.
In the knockout events the rounds are best of 2 tiebreak sets. In the event of a one set all result a match tiebreak (first to 10 with a 2 point lead) is played to decide the winner.

Thank you to all for your support of our tournament over the years.
Having had the first event at the new club in 2020, there were a couple of things that we were concerned about and felt we could do better.
The first of these was not having the championship singles played on the grass courts. Given our concerns about playing singles tennis in the heat on the hard courts we played the finals earlier in the day than we traditionally would. We also have always felt the championship singles finals are the highlight of the tournament and were keen to showcase these matches on the prime courts. As such we are planning on shifting all the championship events onto grass courts.
The second issue that we struggled with was how to utilize our high quality hard courts. To account for the shifting of the championship events onto the grass courts we also needed to shift some of our events onto the hard courts. We felt making the open second division events round robin on hard court could fulfill both of these issues.
We understand that our seniors players often have more issues with knees and hips. As such the seniors events will continue to be played on grass.
